Type: Problem and solution

Topic: Many working people get little or no exercise either during the working day or in the free time, and have health problems as a result. Why do many people not get enough exercise? What can be done about it?



Outline: problems- workload, busy schedule, deadlines, lethargic, television (procure problems like heart disease, obesity)
solutions- Awareness about diseases, implementing workout facilities at workplace campus, fitness centre in the community, drawing interest in Zumba and shuffle dance

Nowadays, people are extremely occupied with their busy schedules and due to which they have no time left to keep their body fit. As a result, they procure various diseases such as heart dysfunctioning and obesity in their early life and of late, this has become a matter of concern for many. The reason behind this can be extensive workload, deadlines or their interest leaning more on television shows and other programmes.

Generally, individuals work overtime at their workplace because they are perplexed about finishing the deadlines. They take their work home and spend the rest of the day sitting at a place and completing their office work. Consequently, they do not do any sort of physical activity and do not even have time for sports or aerobics. Moreover, many people are lethargic, so, they spend most of their free time on weekends watching movies and television shows at home. Apparently, they ignore the harmful effects of not doing any physical activity and acquire precarious diseases such as obesity and heart disease at a very young age.

There are numerous ways to solve this problem. Firstly, the community should be made aware of the catastrophic effects of not exercising and not giving attention to declining condition their body. They should know about the consequences and possible health problems if they do not work out at all. Secondly, health facilities should be provided at the workplace and employees should be allowed to work out in their spare time. In addition, various intriguing dance activities such as Zumba and shuffle dance should be started in the society for all age groups of people and they should be allowed to take memberships for the same. This can encourage them to take out time and participate and such keep-fit exercises.

In a nutshell, excessive workload and deadlines have made people unable to take out time for work out, therefore, they ignore the hazards for not exercising regularly. However, if they are made aware of the consequences, and if the efforts are made by the government and employers then, individuals can obliterate the risks of various underlying diseases and can live a healthy life.
