Type: Opinion (make an opinion and support it, you can completely or partially agree/disagree)
Topic: In some areas of the US, a 'curfew' is posed, in which teenagers are not allowed to be out of the doors after a particular time at night unless they are accompanied by an adult.

Outline: almost agree except a few exemptions
para1- agree, crime rates, teenagers not mature, drawn towards wrong things
para2- teens above 5 can be exempted, freedom

It is a widespread trend amongst a few countries like the US to pose a curfew on teenagers. Either, they should stay indoors or an adult should accompany them if they want to go outside their house after a particular time. There are various significant reasons behind it. In my opinion, it is pertinent in many cases, however, some age groups of teenagers can be exempted from the same.

Sometimes, it is necessary to take vigilant decisions of posing curfew in a few countries. This is because, the increasing crime rates such as terrorism, the fright of drug mafia and other anti-social activities create havoc in the community and teenagers are the target group of such crimes. Firstly, they have been under consistent surveillance of their parents since childhood. So, when they get freedom, they are eager to experiment with various things and ultimately end up in vicious situations. Secondly, teenagers are not mature enough to understand the repercussions of partaking in such horrendous acts, therefore, they are widely drawn by it. If they destroy their career by wasting time on such transgression, they do not get good jobs in the future and become poor. Consequently, they become criminals and the whole cycle is repeated again. Hence, it is important to pose curfew on teenagers in order to save them from a felony.

Apparently, curfew put restrictions on all the teens, which is not fair for children who are above 15. As they have an understanding of the pros and cons of a particular task, therefore, they can be exempted from a curfew. They should be allowed to become independent and take a virtuous decision for themselves. Moreover, if they are under coercion then they find their own ways to satisfy their desires, which can increase the crime rates even more, rather than controlling it.

In conclusion, sometimes it is extremely necessary to pose curfew in order to slow down the crime rate in a country but teenagers above 15 years can be exempted from it. Nevertheless, parents should counsel them on a regular basis to make them a good citizen of the country.
